Living here in football country I am a bit of an oddity. My favorite sport is, far and away, basketball. The Tar Heels are having a great season. Perhaps they’ll be cutting down the nets again this year if they’ll just start playing some stinkin’ defense. They’ve had some great road wins in the ACC versus Clemson and Ga Tech.
I would argue that UNC v. Dook is the best rivalry in sports. They play (at least) twice a year and are consistently in the hunt for the national title. The campuses are only eight miles apart and as someone said, they use the same dry cleaners. Here are some links in case you want to secretly convert to my way of thinking.
